The US Council on Osteopathic Manual Practice Education (UCOMPE) is a national organization established by the osteopathic manual practice profession in the United States of America to accredit schools providing osteopathic manual practice education and training. The UCOMPE purpose is to assure the quality of osteopathic manual practice education and training against a set of national educational Standards. Once an osteopathic manual practice school has demonstrated that it is in substantial compliance with the Standards set by UCOMPE the school is accredited for up to four years. The UCOMPE is the only external quality assurance organization for osteopathic manual practice education and training in the United States of America.

Purpose

The US Council on Osteopathic Manual Practice Education (UCOMPE) is a national organization responsible for ensuring competency and high education standards in osteopathic manual practice profession in the states. UCOMPE assists with the provision of safe and competent osteopathic manual practice education by inspecting, accrediting and continually monitoring entry level osteopathic manual practice programs in the States.
